What data we collect

When you subscribe to our newsletter or interact with an "Apply Now" button, we collect your email address along with the context of your action (e.g. which job listing you were viewing). We also record your explicit consent and the timestamp of that consent.

How we use your data

We use your email address to send job alerts and career content that match your interests. We may contact you about new roles, salary insights, and content published on ObiTech Jobs. We never sell your data to third parties.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This only activates if you consent via our cookie banner. Analytics data is anonymised — we cannot identify you from it. You can opt out at any time by rejecting analytics cookies.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Unsubscribe from all communications at any time using the link in any email we send you.
• Request deletion of all personal data we hold about you by emailing us or using the GDPR deletion endpoint.
• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Data retention

We retain your email and consent record for as long as you remain subscribed. Once you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record (email and unsubscribed timestamp) to honour your opt-out. You can request full deletion at any time.

Cookies

We use only two categories of cookies: essential cookies (required for site operation) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics, only set with your consent). No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
